Gautam Banerjee

Founder & Director

Gautam is an accomplished analytics, AI and Operations Excellence (Opex) practitioner and has been in leadership roles with companies like Accenture, Fidelity Management Research and GE GDC across the globe before founding Business Brio. Gautam was felicitated in 2014 by NASSCOM for his contribution to the cause of data science. He was the chair of Data Science SIG of NASSCOM East from 2015-17. Gautam has been the project leader and editor of the world’s first assessment standard on AI which is ISO 24668. He has been also been the TWG AI Expert for European Observatory for ICT Standards as sponsored by H2020 of European Union and has been co-author of the first AI Landscape Report for EU. He has been the Chair of Big Data subcommittee, under Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Government Of India. An alumnus of BITS, Pilani and IIM Bangalore, India, Gautam is a certified Master Black Belt on Lean and Six Sigma by the Indian Statistical Institute, Bangalore, India besides being a certified Six Sigma Black Belt from Motorola University. With close to 30 years of Industry experience, Gautam has number of Springer publications, MIT Open Licenses and patents to his credit.

Soma Banerjee

Co-Founder & CEO

Soma has more than two decades of experience in market research, AI/Analytics and product management. She has played key management roles across multiple geographies for global majors like Nielsen, Genpact and Talisma Corporation as well as start-ups. Soma has a Bachelor’s Degree from BIT, Mesra, Ranchi and a Masters Degree in business management from Army Institute of Management, Kolkata. Soma has number of Springer publications, MIT Open Licenses and patents to her credit. Soma is Steering Committee member of Nasscom startups (East) and Lead for Women Tech Entrepreneurship. She is an alumni of Goldman Sachs 10K advance program on Growth.

Mainak Sen

DIRECTOR – ANALYTICS

Mainak has years of experience in analytics and research. He has worked extensively both in India and in the USA – in areas of technology, mathematical models, research and social sciences with companies like Infosys, Thermax, Ducker Research, etc.

Mainak is a graduate in Production Engineering from Jadavpur University, Kolkata and holds an MBA from Michigan State University, USA. He has also been a graduate researcher at Purdue University, USA.
